Buzzword or not, the term "Up-cycling" has been picking up steam in recent years, but do we truly understand the concept and rationale behind it? Besides the trending handicrafts and the 5-minute life hacks, is up-cycling actually environmentally friendly? What's the difference between up-cycling and recycling? Is up-cycling really not scalable, hence, no actual positive impact can be made?
